Winter spin classes, amongst other training programs have started

Published by admin on

We have been working hard to put on several programs of training to help our members get fit(ter) over the dark and cold winter months. We have organised two spin classes per week and a yoga class, with some doing their own training on top of this by attending various leisure centres to start and get into shape for next season (or just to look good for their partners).

It’s also great to see so many of our members out on the roads and wearing our club kit with pride, as we take a lot pride in our club and what it has achieved in the few years since it was founded, and this is due to the hard work that many members put into promoting the club at events across the province, and in doing so we have reached over 150 members, so we must be doing something right 🙂 🙂

However not everything is always good news as we lost some fellow cyclists during the week.  Wee would like to pass on our condolences to the family and friends of those who sadly passed away. One of those was a well known legend on the mountain bike scene (Richie Byrne) and two of our members attended a memorial off road session for him at Ballinastoe on Sunday to pay their respects.

We’ve also had a few injuries and accidents from members during the week and we wish Ingrid, Andy McC & Lyn all the best and a speedy recovery..
